The preschool years are a wonderful time in your child's life. During these years, your child grows and develops in many ways: emotionally, physically, socially, and intellectually.

We are a non-profit, parent-run preschool with fully E.C.E. certified staff. Our preschool provides 3 and 4-year-olds a happy, safe, nurturing classroom environment in which to play, learn, experiment, and make friends. Our preschool also provides parents the opportunity to improve their parenting skills, share their child's first schooling experience, and meet other parents who want to be involved in their child's education.

North Delta Parent Participation Preschool offers two different classes to feed the needs of our parents.

Panda Our Panda class meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30. The class is made up of both 3 & 4 year olds.
Our Polar class meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30 - 2:30 and is also made up of both 3 & 4 year olds. Polar

The educational program emphasizes "Learning Through Play". Through play, many of the necessary skills for later life are developed. Learning through play comes about when the need for freedom and guidance is recognized. North Delta Parent Participation Preschool provides a play-based curriculum that:

  • supports the development of the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
  • recognizes each child's unique learning style, abilities, and developmental level.
  • allows the interests, needs and desires of the children to influence the curriculum, making learning concrete, fun and meaningful.

We are a parent participation preschool, which means that:

  • all the parents help run the preschool, as a non-profit organization, and come together for monthly meetings to discuss the business of the preschool
  • parents participate in the classroom (usually twice a month) as "duty parents"
  • each family helps out by performing a "job" at the preschool; for example: putting together the monthly newsletter, helping the teacher set up the classroom, organizing fund-raising activities, or mending & washing play-clothes
  • families take part in various fund-raising activities for the preschool, such as bottle drives, used clothing drives, cookie-dough sales, pub-nights, bowling dates, and movie dates
