North Delta Parent Participation Preschool

Our educational program emphasizes "Learning Through Play". This play-based curriculum requires both freedom and guidance, and helps the children develop important social, intellectual, and physical skills that are needed later in life.

"Learning Through Play" recognizes each child's unique learning style, abilities, and developmental level. The curriculum is shaped by the children's interests, needs & desires, and allows for hands-on learning. This makes learning concrete, meaningful, and fun.

Our preschool program is based on the belief that children thrive in an atmosphere of trust; in a safe & gentle environment where they are provided with support. A child's self esteem and ability to learn are interdependent. This means that children succeed when they have a strong sense of self. Our preschool program aims to foster a sense of competency and independence in each child, helping them become strong, happy, and capable individuals.

In the classroom we offer the kids the opportunity to learn and play in many ways. There are several different centres set up where the children can play independently as well as cooperatively with their friends.

field trips - to learn about different things in the community

singing, dancing and playing games to music
